The Intel DCH drivers are a pain in the ass for this, as they were never intended to be INF loaded. I tried loading the Iris XE drivers into the boot image, but upon loading the driver with drvload, it displays the correct resolution for a split second and then it just hangs (can move the mouse, but no screen activity otherwise).

I tried an old hack of switching the wdsmgfw.efi and bootbgfw.efi files in WDS, and the correct resolution shows then, however it's non-functional as storage and network drivers won't load like that.

My assumption as well is this is related to the huge overhaul these systems got with the 11th gen intel stuff (Iris XE, Chipset, new BIOS with no CSM support). As best as I've been able to determine the machine is not observing the updated resolution from bootmgfw.efi. I've 100% confirmed with Dell this is a UEFI bug present, and expect they will be issuing a BIOS update to resolve. Below, there will be a story prompt which is sort of like a Choose Your Own Adventure, except that the rest of it isn't written.I have an open case with Dell for this issue with the 5420's. Tell a Story day is coming up on April 27th, and were working on an interactive story for it.
